It’s June, and you know what that means… It’s time for all of us in the migraine and headache community to raise our voices about these often misunderstood disorders. There are a LOT of us — we’re going to be heard!

This year’s Migraine and Headache Awareness Month theme is Myth, Truth, Action.

Meet CEFALY’s migraine ambassadors

a poster with four female migraine influencers named Cannon, Jen, Michele, and Adriane

We’ve invited 4 of our favorite migraine advocates to share and debunk widespread  migraine myths.

June 6: Migraine Babe

Cannon is the director of social and community for the virtual neurology clinic Neura Health. She educates others about her life with MUMS (migraine with unilateral motor symptoms).

Cannon will be tackling this harmful myth: “Your life is over if you have migraine.” Cannon is living proof that this myth is false. Her migraine toolkit — including CEFALY — empowers her to manage complex and severe symptoms so she can function and work full time.

Cannon will be discussing this myth and taking questions live on TikTok at 3 PM EST on June 6.

June 13:  Momming with Migraine

Jen is dedicated to being the mentor she wished she had when she was first diagnosed with chronic migraine in 2017. She seeks to live a joyful life with migraine — with the help of service dog Buddy. Jen has two toddlers, and she’s dedicated to helping other parents pursue their joy and live adventurous lives.

Jen will be challenging the myth that “You can’t be a good parent with migraine.” Join her on YouTube at 2 PM EST on June 13!

June 20: The Migraine Nurse

Michele, a registered nurse, lived with daily chronic migraine for over 10 years. Today, she coaches patients on raising their migraine threshold and addressing hidden triggers.

Join Michele live on Instagram at 2 PM EST June 20! She’ll be talking about a myth we’ve all heard too many times: that migraine is just a headache.

June 27: Yoga for Migraine

Adriane is a certified yoga instructor, a migraine coach, and a CEFALY user since 2015. She uses yoga and Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help people decrease their migraine days and reconnect to the activities that give them joy and purpose.

She’ll be taking on this classic myth: that migraine is a genetic disease and so there’s nothing you can do about it. Migraine can be inherited — that’s true. Migraine can be really complex and difficult to treat — that’s also true. But you CAN find an integrative treatment approach that empowers you to get back to life. Adriane will share how she did it live on Instagram at 2 PM EST on June 27.
