We get it: Treating migraine can get expensive. Paying for medication, seeing doctors, taking time off work, buying treatments and comforts that you need… it adds up fast. That’s why we do our best to make CEFALY fit into your budget. Here’s a look at the different payment options we offer.

Can I buy CEFALY with an FSA?

Yes! CEFALY is an FSA-approved expense. That means if you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through your employer health plan, you can use the money to buy CEFALY and CEFALY electrodes. FSAs are a great way to save on migraine-related expenses, because you don’t pay taxes on the money you add to your account.

Buying CEFALY with FSA funds is easy. Simply use your FSA debit card when you’re checking out on CEFALY.com. Don’t have a debit card for the account? Buy CEFALY with your regular debit or credit card, then submit a claim to the FSA (through your employer) with proof of the medical expense and a statement that it has not been covered by your plan. Then, you’ll be reimbursed.

Don’t wait too long: FSA money is “use it or lose it,” so you need to spend it by the end of the year. (Some plans offer a 2.5-month grace period after that, or let you roll over some funds.)

Can I use my HSA to pay for CEFALY?

Do you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) as part of your high-deductible health plan? If so, you can use pre-tax money to pay for approved medical expenses, like CEFALY and CEFALY electrodes.

To buy CEFALY with HSA money, simply use the debit card provided with the account. You can also buy CEFALY with a regular credit or debit card, then request reimbursement through your HSA administrator or HSA bank custodian. Whichever way you go, keep your receipts for tax purposes.

Good news: You won’t lose the money you put into an HSA account; the funds roll over to the next year if you don’t spend them.

Important note! Due to a glitch, Stripe (our payment processor) sometimes declines HSA cards for electrode purchases. If this happens to you, please contact Patient Care for help with the transaction.

Does CEFALY offer payment plans?

We want drug-free migraine treatment to be accessible to people who need it, so we offer two low- or no-interest financing options to our U.S. customers.

PayPal Credit is an open-end (revolving) line of credit that lets you pay for CEFALY over time. You don’t have to pay any fees or interest, as long as you pay in full within 6 months. After that, you will be charged interest dating from the original date of purchase. Check the PayPal Credit FAQ to see the current APR. You may be charged fees for late payments or returned payments.

To buy CEFALY with PayPal Credit, you’ll need a PayPal account. Check out using PayPal and then select PayPal Credit as your payment method. You may also use PayPal’s Pay in 4 option, which sets up four automatic payments over four months. PayPal’s Pay Monthly option, available in some states, sets up monthly payments (with interest).

Affirm offers flexible payment options, from interest-free payments every 2 weeks to monthly installments. Either way, you’ll never pay any fees — even if your payment is late. When you make a purchase, Affirm always shows the total amount of interest you’ll pay and will never charge you more than that.

To buy CEFALY with Affirm, simply select Affirm monthly payments at checkout. You’ll have to be approved for an Affirm account, if you don’t already have one, but it doesn’t take long! Manage your payments in the Affirm app or online. Learn more about how Affirm works.

Still hesitating? Don’t worry: You can always try CEFALY risk free for 90 days. Return the device within that window if you’re not happy with your results.
