Migraine is personal.
It’s a complicated neurological disorder that people experience differently. Symptoms vary. Severity varies. Attack frequency varies.
This means there’s no one-size-fits-all migraine remedy. The better you understand your own unique migraine patterns, the more you can tailor your CEFALY treatments and your overall treatment approach. That’s why you need the CeCe Migraine Management app.
What is the CeCe Migraine Management app?
Launched in 2021 as a migraine journal and tracking app, CeCe now includes two-way communication with the Bluetooth-enabled CEFALY Connected. You can use the app to:
- Select, start, adjust and track CEFALY sessions, so you can optimize your treatments
- Log migraine attacks, symptoms and triggers, so you can identify your patterns over time
- Record acute and preventative treatments, so you can see what’s working
- Download migraine reports to share with your healthcare provider, so you have data to guide your treatment plan

How to control CEFALY with Cece
Once you’ve paired CeCe with your CEFALY Connected using the PIN on the back of your device, you’re ready to start a treatment session. Tap the blue CEFALY logo button at the bottom of the home screen, then the green play button. Choose your treatment: ACUTE or PREVENT. The app will show you the stimulation level increasing then leveling out, as well as your session time and battery life remaining.
Just as migraine symptoms and patterns are highly individual, patients’ experiences with neuromodulation treatment are individual too. The CeCe app makes it easy for you to find your sweet spot: the stimulation level that’s noticeable but comfortable, not too high or too low.
Tap the Stabilize button any time in the first 14 minutes to hold the stimulation intensity steady at the level you prefer. CeCe will show you the exact percentage, so you can stay consistent. Tap the Ramp Up button 1x to increase the stimulation by 1%.
How to use CeCe as a migraine journal
By closely monitoring your migraine attacks, you can identify triggers, form a comprehensive treatment plan and prevent attacks. CeCe makes it simple to track and recognize patterns over time with:
- Migraine logging: One of the best ways to identify triggers and symptoms is with consistent attack tracking. Each time a migraine occurs, you can log it in the app. You don’t have to fill in details while you’re having an attack; wait till you feel better.
- Treatment tracking: Whether you use prescribed medications, stress-relieving exercises or preventive treatments, these strategies help you manage migraine attacks. In CeCe, you can track the effectiveness of different treatments over time.
- Symptom identification: Note migraine symptoms during or after an attack. You can note factors like pain areas, aura, feelings of nausea or other common symptoms.
Tap the document icon at the bottom of the home screen to export your PDF report and send a link to your email. The link will expire within 7 days, so download the report within that window. Share with your healthcare provider to help guide your treatment plan! Your doctor will look for any changes or patterns in your migraine attacks, as well as how you’re responding to treatment.
What can I learn from my CeCe migraine reports?
Creating personalized reports from your migraine data is what makes CeCe so helpful — and so much better than an analog migraine journal. Tap the document icon at the bottom of the home screen to generate a PDF report and send a link to your email.
Your reports help you see patterns, such as:
- How many migraine attacks you have per month
- The average intensity and duration of a migraine attack
- Your most common triggers and symptoms
- The average effectiveness of your migraine treatments
- And more
Why does this data matter? It helps answer important questions about your migraine treatment journey, such as:
- Is your abortive medication effective?
- Are your migraine attacks becoming more or less intense over time?
- How much are your CEFALY PREVENT treatments reducing migraine frequency?
Sharing the report with your healthcare provider can help guide your treatment plan! Your doctor will look for any changes or patterns in your migraine attacks, as well as how you’re responding to treatment.
What makes CeCe a better migraine management app?
Tracking migraines can be frustrating, and we wanted to create a way to make it easier. The CeCe migraine app is:
- Personalized: Because every person’s migraine experience is unique, you can customize CeCe to record only the symptoms, triggers and treatments that apply to you.
- Simple: CeCe’s intuitive, chat-like interface is simple to use. There’s no clutter — just the features that help you effectively log and analyze your migraine attacks.
- Versatile: With CeCe, you’re in charge. Choose which aspects of migraine you want to track — your triggers, attack symptoms and trends, treatment effectiveness, or all of these. You can keep a detailed migraine journal as well.
- Private: Your personal information is stored securely and never shared with any third party. You’re in control of your health data.
- Free: CeCe is a completely free migraine app for iPhone, iPad and Android. It has no ads, no in-app purchases and no hidden costs. You don’t have to purchase a CEFALY device to use CeCe, but you can sync the app with CEFALY Connected for treatment control and more detailed insights.
- Migraine-friendly: Logging your migraine attacks shouldn’t add more strain or pain. We designed CeCe to be easy on your eyes, even when you’re experiencing an attack. The app lets you log migraine attacks in real time or after an attack has passed.
